Archaeology of the Okeeheelee - Saturday, March 13

Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department will provide Archaeology of the Okeeheelee on Saturday, March 13, at 10:00 am in Riverbend Park.

County Archaeologist Chris Davenport will give his firsthand account of what was discovered when the water level in Lake Okeechobee recently dropped. Participants will learn fascinating secrets, which were hidden under water for thousands of years. The program will also include the Second Seminole War Battlefields in Riverbend Park.

 Program is FREE and reservations are recommended. Comfortable shoes, lawn chairs, bug spray, sunscreen, raingear, and bottled water are recommended. For reservations or for more information, call JoAnna at (561) 966-6686, Monday-Friday,
8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Riverbend Park is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located at 9060 Indiantown Road in Jupiter, one mile west of the Florida Turnpike/I-95 exits on the south side of the road.
