Laurel Oaks Pony Club is a local chapter of the United States Pony Club Inc. and is a youth equestrian club located in Jupiter, Florida. Laurel Oaks is part of the Sunshine Region and covers Palm Beach, Martin and Okeechobee Counties. The mission of the United States Pony Club, Inc., (often referred to as USPC or "Pony Club") is to provide a program for youth that teaches riding, mounted sports, and care of the horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, moral judgement, leadership and self-confidence.
Currently, Laurel Oaks holds two un-mounted and one mounted meeting each month. Our un-mounted meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. The meetings take place at Fox Run Farm, 10472 165th Street North, Jupiter, FL, owned by Mrs. Nancy Kell, the founding District Commissioner for our Club. The monthly mounted meeting is held at the Jupiter Farms Park Equestrian Facility, located at 16655 Jupiter Farms Road, Jupiter, Florida. As of September, these meetings will be held from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month. Non-members are welcomed to attend our mounted meetings as an observer or participant, but in order to participate (ride) in the mounted instructional meetings, you must make arrangements at least 48 hours beforehand.
